Mickayla Rutherford - Patient Services

Growing up Mickayla always incorporated active living to her everyday lifestyle. She was a part of the provincial gymnastics team at Bay of Quinte Gymnastics, and also danced competitively. She found her passion for helping others through her first part time job at the YMCA where she was a program leader for gymnastics, dance, fitness and healthy eating classes for children.

Mickayla recently completed her bachelor degree in Kinesiology at the University of Guelph as well as a diploma in fitness and health promotion at Humber College. Throughout university she had the opportunity to study abroad in New Zealand where she got to work with state of the art technology examining the biomechanics of elite athletes.

Mickayla continues to expand her education in the fitness and therapy field through taking part in the pre and post natal exercise specialist certification program, as well as completing her certification in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization treatments.

She is excited to be expanding her role here at the clinic as a Kinesiologist while also continuing with her reception role.
